Great road trip to Illinois last week.  Great time at the Big Cities Lounge hanging with people from the CrossRoads Blues Society and getting Bob Levis (Otis Rush) and Steve Ditzell (Koko Taylor and Junior Wells) on-stage with us.  Also - thanks to everyone who came out to the Watseka Theatre for their 2nd Annual Blues, BBQ, and Arts Fest - classy place and a great historic theatre.

Hounds Tooth is bringing our Award Winning Soul Rockin' Blues to Illinois this next weekend.  On Friday, May 29th we are at the Big Cities Lounge in Rockford.  The Big Cities Lounge is one those famous initimate blues rooms that has hosted some of the great Chicago players, national artists, and their summer lineup includes Jimmy Thackery, Popa Chubby, Bernard Allison, and Hounds Tooth.  The show starts at 9:30 pm.

On Saturday Hounds Tooth is performing at the 2nd Annual Watseka Blues, BBQ, and Arts Festival in Watseka, IL.  We will be playing on the outdoor stage from 1 pm to 2:45 pm.  The Watseka Festival got a great plug from Elwood on the House of Blues Radio Hour and this festival includes a great lineup including Little Johnny Blue Moore.  So come make the 3 hour trip down for an afternoon of blues, bbq, and art.

Thanks to everyone who came out last week to the Up & Under Pub, we had one of our biggest crowds ever at that venue.  We also had a great time playing the Silver City Main St. Concert in the Park Series and the Pewaukee Veterans Day Festival.  Check our site for photos.

Hounds Tooth, showcasing the dynamic and soulful voice of Miss Jamie Brace, has stormed onto the regional scene with their high-energy show of Soul Rockin’ Blues. Miss Jamie captivates an audience as she caresses them intimately with a soulful ballad and then takes them over the edge as she kicks it into high gear with a blues-rock anthem. Complimented by the rest of the band, including 19 year-old blues guitar phenom Jared James Nichols, Hounds Tooth's youthful line-up shows that the blues is in great hands for the future.

With a set list rich in jump blues, original material, classic soul, and blues-rock numbers, Hounds Tooth’s modern Soul Rockin' Blues appeals to a wide range of audiences. You will find Hounds Tooth wowing audiences at blues festivals, Summerfest, the Slippery Noodle Inn, and other top local and regional venues.

Miss Jamie Brace was selected as the Best Female Vocalist in the Shepherd Express' Best of Milwaukee 2007 voting.

Hounds Tooth was selected as The Best Blues Band in the The Shepherd Express' Best of Milwaukee 2006 voting.

“The musicians break from the mold of the wearisome blues house band…these guys play soul as well as blues. - Nathanial Miller, MKE Magazine.
